DAMARISCOTTA LAKE EVENT

For a early spring tournament the MBC Damariscotta event went quite will.  A few folks had boat issues which were unavoidable, and we can all attest to being confronted with them.

With temperatures starting out in the mid-twenties and winds in the forecasts several teams who called ahead never made it out to play, never the less MBC had a respectable number of boats at our first event with 37 teams.  For some teams fishing was a challenge while other teams were able to produce 20 pound bags.

Congratulations to the team of Holland/Carter for the 24.66 bag of largemouth and top honors for this event.  The largest bass brought to the scale came from the team of Estrella/Estrella with a 6.98 pound largemouth.

Here are all the teams that weighed fish - Results to be transferred to the result page soon:

I want to personally reach out to all the anglers who have followed this tournament committee over the years and given us the opportunity to grow our sport in this State and create a community around our events.  I have come to know anglers in many states, and our secret (our big bass) is something special.  Trust me when I talk to folks in Florida, California, Alabama etc. they all think we have giant smallies.  I always say shhhhh, the largies are bigger.  Let’s have a great year.  Tell a friend who has stepped out of tournament fishing to comeback, we want to meet them.
